Note From the Artistic Director of

Rascal Children’s Theater

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit Rascal Children’s Theater either here at The Side Project or at the former Rogue Theater in Andersonville. 

The Red Hood was Rascal’s final production. 

Special thanks to all of the fantastic directors, playwrights, stage managers, and actors who donated their time and talent to entertain the audiences of Andersonville and Rogers Park.

I especially appreciate the dedication of Rogue Theater and Rascal Children’s Theater’s company members, past and present.  They deserve a special shout-out so THANK YOU to Sarah Fineout, Marie Antoinette Flores, Lisa Herceg, Victoria Kallay, Becky Lange, Amanda Lanier, Barbara Lhota,

Kate Lindberg, Meredith Melville, Jennifer Milton, Keith Neagle,

Lisa Stran White, and Nate White. 

I hope that you will all continue to support your local theaters.  A lot of hard (and often thankless) work goes into putting up a show.  That work deserves an appreciative audience.  Please monitor Rogue Theater’s web site at www.RogueTheater.com (we are just taking a break…honestly!) for our eventual return.  In the meantime, visit one of our friends:  The Side Project (www.thesideproject.net) or Point of Contention (www.pointofcontention.org).  You can also soon see the talents of two Rascal Artistic Associates in Babes With Blades’ world premiere production of Los Desaparecidos, written by Barbara Lhota (who also wrote Rascal’s Nerdy Girl and the Intergalactic Dog) and featuring Lisa Herceg (who WAS the Nerdy Girl).
